The Saalt Menstrual Cup and Disc Steamer takes just 3-4 minutes - add water to the Max Fill Line, place one cup or disc rim down into the steamer, close the lid, and hit the button. A blue light will indicate that the steamer is on and within seconds you will see the magic begin to happen. Saalt tested and re-tested this machine to ensure that your products are sanitized thoroughly. Upon the completion of the cycle your light will turn off to indicate it's ready. Wait 2-3 minutes for the product to cool. Then open the lid and remove the product still using caution as contents and the product may still be hot. Follow the provided step-by-step directions.

The steamer is very quick, easy, & hygienic!
While I initially loved it, after just 4 months, it has started leaking out of the bottom. The steamer is not overfilled.
I bought this as part of a bundle with the cute little pitcher and a purple spot. You’ll see in the video but I was having trouble turning it on and it kept turning off. I ran a cycle by itself when I first got it as per the directions and I didn’t wait for it to cool completely before sanitizing my disc. Once I did let it cool completely it worked and I was able to sanitize my disc. I’ve only used it once so I can’t speak to how it lasts long term and some of the other reviews I saw other people had issues but I love the convenience of having this steamer! If it does give issues I’ll reach out to customer service as they are great! But for now it does the job and does it quick and easy and convenient and I love that
Started off great. I loved the fact I didn't had to sterilize my cup in the kitchen and could do it much faster. But now it leaks all the water of the little reservoir, so it's kinda disappointing. I thought since it was from saalt it would be better.
It worked great for about 10 months and then began malfunctioning (shorter steam time) and would run two cycles and now at the year mark it's leaking water out of the bottom so it's not steaming but for like 30secs... I make sure not to even reach the max fill line too.
LOVE the saalt steamer! Such an easier to way to ensure my menstrual disc is cleaned between phases. 10/10!
I had a steamer that I'd gotten off of Amazon several years ago, which worked fine, but this one is a nice upgrade.
10/10 worth the investment. I’ve been wanting one of these so that I can stop boiling my discs, but I wasn’t sure if it was worth the money.. but it’s a total game changer. My discs are constantly as clean as possible. Also, it’s sooo nice to have a freshly steamed, warm cup to insert!!! Even if just for the comfort lol
The disc steamer was easy to use but literally stopped working and won't turn on at 2nd use. Unbelievable. So expensive for this just to not work anymore I'm so mad
I bought two- a Rose Quartz for my niece who moved in to her dorm and a Blue Dusk one for me. My niece informed me that she ran a steam cycle with nothing in it, like instructed, and it was fine, then when she went to actually use it, it wouldn't turn on. I had a similar problem. I also ran a steam cycle with nothing in it, looked like it worked fine. Then when I went to actually use it the steamer turned off after 5-10 seconds. I don't think it was sanitized that fast. Seems there are a lot of these complaints so Saalt has created a typeform to explain the situation, upload pics, and where to send the replacement. I'm glad they are replacing it, but bummed out that I have had to go through this whole fiasco just to sanitize my disk.DO BETTER!!! I don't know if what is being sold as of 9/30/24 also has that defect, but run it a few times to check.
The steamer is really cute, really easy to set up & use, and works well!
The other reviews were right. The power button does not work and it stopped during my first time use. Will be purchasing from another brand from now on.

The steamer works perfectly and definitely makes the process easier. Saves the time as opposed to boiling your cup/disc. I wish it could be cheaper, but besides that I love it.

This is so handy. Of course I could boil my disc on the stove but this feels like a little luxury. I can let it do it's thing and don't have to worry about leaving it too long.

I am so happy to have this steamer! I usually wait for reviews to come in on something practical like this before I buy, but this time I just had a feeling that this little device would be worth it. I was boiling my disc every month, which isn't the biggest deal but it was somewhat inconvenient when you've just started bleeding. Now when my moontime starts I am able to easily pop the disc in, and I don't have to run all over the house prepping. It has made things a lot smoother. I can just chill in the bathroom for a few extra mins. (easier clean up, sit on the toilet while I wait, etc.) The steamer is easy to use and doesn't take up much space in my tiny bathroom (the only bathroom for my family of 3). I finally feel like I've got everything period figured out now! I love my salt disc and steamer! I highly recommend both!
I don't have a bathroom on the same floor as my kitchen, so I always forget to bring my cup downstairs to sanitize, or forget to bring it back up once clean. My bathroom also doesn't have much counter or storage space, so most cup steamers are either too bulky for my space, or too hideous for me to want to leave out for use as needed. As a result, I would find myself procrastinating sanitizing and would stick to hydrogen peroxide soaks, which aren't recommended on a regular basis by most manufacturers. I ordered this the second I saw it had launched and I absolutely love it! The Arctic White is so crisp and cute on my little shelf, matches perfectly with my white Quip paraphernalia, and it's SO convenient & easy to use and wipe clean. I got my cycle days after it arrived and it's been so convenient to have a two-disc rotation & sanitize whichever one I'm not wearing after a quick soap in the sink.
I absolutely love this i haven’t been able to use it too much yet, but it’s so easy to use and I can keep it in my room away from my family. Perfect if you can’t boil your disc or cup in the kitchen like me!
I love the steamer. It takes so much less water than i thought. No more skipping sanitizing my disc!
When I first got it, it stated that it was opened, not used, only for quality control purposes. I used it twice before it stopped working consistently. I just used it again for the third time and when pressing the power button it'll immediately turn itself off after a split second. I thought it was my outlet and used 2 other outlets, same issues. I have to press it multiple times before it will actually start up. When it did start, it would turn itself off after about 10 seconds before it even starts steaming up. I'm quite disappointed as I was so excited to have this as an option since it's so much more convenient. I've switched back to just using boiling water as this steamer is more decoration than functional at this point. It wasn't worth the $39 for it, I wasn't able to get more than one cycles worth of use out of it.

Loved it... but broke quickly. Like others said, started leaking, then wouldn't cycle at all. Didn't even use often, probably got less than 10 months of semi-regular use. Pretty disappointed.
This is beyond convenient! And this might be tmi (and gross) but this took the smell out of my saalt menstrual cup I’ve had for a few years! I purchased hello disc and have used it for that as well. Since it’s steaming definitely let it cool before insertion again 😂

The saalt steamer worked when I tested it as I stricter and then never again. I saw others with this same review and figured it might be a fluke and I bought it anyway. Man do I have regrets about that, this thing is a worthless hunk of junk.
This worked well for the first year-ish but it started leaking water and İ feel like it isn’t properly sanitizing my cup anymore. İ started using menstrual cups for sustainability reasons so I”m disappointed that this became e-waste after only a year.

So convenient to use
Very easy to use. I used it with my Hello disc and it was pretty straightforward. I like that you can use tap water so its convenient if you are traveling. Plus, it has a cool design!
The package was opened, but the customer service said it was normal since they open and test the machine.
